Lead Screws - SNAB

The SNAB nut uses a spring to push the front and back halves of the nut apart, removing the backlash. If the load exceeds the spring force, backlash will occur.  Therefore this design is only suitable for very light loads.  Its main advantage is that it is a very simple design with low cost.
