Linear MOTIONEERING walks users through a thorough, intuitive process for a slide table application to deliver all the data necessary to make a quick, logical system selection. Deliverables include immediate 3D CAD models in multiple formats, motor requirements, life and safety factor calculations, lead time and pricing information with options listed by price point, an automated email of the inquiry and quote documenting the application, and a single part number to order from that includes all specified options.
New Generation of Thomson Linear Actuators Reduce Costs in Tough Mobile Off-Highway Applications
“ElecTrak Pro Series linear actuators allow mobile off highway machine builders to build a better machine, faster. They bridge the gap between common linear actuators that can lack the robust performance demanded in tough mobile off highway (MOH) applications, and expensive precision linear actuators whose advanced operation and control options are attractive, but whose cost can leave MOH design engineers reaching for the hydraulics and pneumatics,” says Mark Maybee, Linear Actuator Business Unit Director. “OEM machine builders will benefit from a lower cost, easier to install, higher-performing solution that promises a significant advantage over the competition. End-users will benefit from improved control over critical machine operations, with superior accuracy and zero maintenance over the life of the machine, for significantly increased machine productivity,” he says.
Newly patented: Telescopic screw drive with direct drive for installation in confined spaces
The Danaher Motion Group has developed an innovative solution for installation in confined spaces where a relatively long stroke is required: the Direct Drive Telescope – or DDT for short. The DDT, which has just recently been patented, combines the full hydraulic cylinder operation with the advantages of an electrical direct drive. In addition to shallow installation with maximum stroke length and torque, it also offers a high dynamic response and easy installation. An extended rotor – part of the patent – picks up the linear movement of the drive spindle smoothly and without play, thus increasing the efficiency and precision of the solution.
