Profile rail require a small amount of grease or oil to operate properly. 

Grease Recommendations

Suggested greases for various applications are as follows:

General applications
  • NLGI grade 2 lubricant
Higher loads
  • EP2 (extreme pressure NLGI grade 2) lubricant
High Speed
  • Oil
Food-Grade Applications
  • Thomson Linear Lube (Teflon-based synthetic grease)

Frequency

Frequency of lubrication is dependent on several factors:
  • Duty cycle
  • Load
  • Speed
  • Environment
  • Level of contamination
With all these variables it makes it difficult to provide specific intervals. Minimum frequency not to exceed 1 year or 100 km of travel. The key is to keep a thin film of lubricant on the unit at all times.
