12/02/2015 | Sizing and Selecting Your Application with Precision Linear Actuators – Free Webinar for Design Engineers

12.02.2015 KRISTIANSTAD, SWEDEN – Thomson Industries, Inc., a leading manufacturer of mechanical motion control solutions, is presenting a new webinar that will provide engineers with information to improve machine design.

The webinar will be based around the Thomson PC-Series electric linear actuators. These units are considered to be one of the most promising solutions on the market right now because they have a greater power density in a smaller package and provide up to four times more travel time than other typical electromechanical alternatives; giving machine builders the ability to create more compact designs, improve reliability and extend travel life.

The PC-Series actuators are optimized to help designers convert from pneumatic to electric linear actuation. The units have efficiencies of over 80% compared with a typical 10-15% for pneumatic equivalents. They also require less maintenance, simplify machine design, offer significant cost savings and are ideal for 100% duty cycle applications that require high accuracy and reliability.

This free webinar will be held on 25 February 2015 and is aimed at giving a detailed technical insight of the PC-Series to design engineers. It will be hosted by Niklas Sjöström, Product Line Manager for Systems in EMEA and Asia at Thomson, who will give a step-by-step guide in how to correctly size and select precision linear actuators.
