Shaft Rail Assemblies are for use with OPEN bearings. Delivered with the shaft and rail pre-assembled.
Low Profile (LSRA) - Low profile rail design
Standard Profile (SR) - Standard profile rail, aluminum alloy rail
Extra Rigid (XSRA) - Extra Rigid, Ductile Iron rail
The Nominal Shaft diameter. The actual diameter will depend on shaft tolerance chosen. See the individual product detail page for the actual diameter upper and lower limits.
AL - Aluminum Shafting
L - For use with Super, Super Smart and XA Open and Adjustable Ball Bushing Bearings and Pillow Blocks
S - For use with A type ball bushings
N - For use with needle roller Bearings
D - For use with Thomson Die Set Ball Bushing Bearings
G - Grooved shaft for use with Thomson Ball Groove Ball Bushing Pillow Blocks
XL - For use with XR bearing (Carbon Steel)
The material of the shaft (where the ball bushing travels). In the case of a shaft rail assembly the shaft support may be a different material. See the individual product detail page for the shaft support material.
Standard - Standard shafting. Typically used with closed bearings and end supports.
Predrilled - Mounting holes are Predrilled through the shaft or assembly.
Shafts - Predrilled shafts are designed for use with Open bearings where the customer is assembling or using a custom support. Consider utilizing a Shaft Rail Assembly instead.
Shaft Rail Assemblies - Predrilled mounting holes are for securing the assembly to the mounting surface.
Deep Case - where the case depth is two times the normal depth
